The NBA Panel had a sit down interview with Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame President John Doleva at the Hall of Fame in Springfield Massachusetts. The Hall of Fame was closed for 6 months due to renovations, & the Coronavirus reopening July 8th. The improvements done are immediately visible especially if you’ve ventured to the Hall in previous years. Center court has been redone with a massive TV screen, and new exhibits are throughout the Hall of Fame. During the interview John detailed the safety protocols put in place for visitors which include foot prints to encourage social distancing, hand sanitizers throughout the Hall, & frequent hourly cleaning. Everyone was anticipating this years enshrinement class which would of been arguably the biggest ever with the late Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, & Kevin Garnett headlining. The president spoke on the decision to move the enshrinement back hinting at perhaps a early 2021 class of 2020 enshrinement, then a 2021 class enshrinement later in the year around normal scheduled time. John has done a tremendous job as President & CEO, and the future is only bright for the Hall in Springfield.
