The NBA Panel covered the Delaware 87ers as they took on the Sacramento Kings Developmental league affiliate the Reno BigHorns on March 22nd at the Bob Carpenter Center. The 87ers won a high scoring affair in which they controlled from start to finish 120-109. The 87ers got out to a fast start putting up 32 points in the first quarter to set the tone. The sevens were led in scoring by player of the game Russ Smith who dropped 24 points and was aggressive the whole game.
The 87ers withstood a strong 2nd quarter run, and they pulled away from BigHorns in the 3rd quarter with their usual balanced scoring. Roscoe Smith scored 23, Devondrick Walker 17, Aaron Harrison 13, and Nate Robinson scored 9 points. Nate Robinson was key in keeping the sevens in control of the game, his defense in the 2nd half fueled the team. The win puts the sevens at 24-21 overall on the season, and in the playoff hunt.
