The NBA Panel covered the Delaware 87ers as they took on the Charlotte Hornets Developmental team affiliate the Greensboro Swarm at the Bob Carpenter Center on March 29th.
The 87ers won a fast paced game 123-114 led by player of the game Russ Smith’s 43 points. Russ came out strong from the start scoring the first six points for the Sevens, setting the tone early. After 8 early lead changes the 87ers took control of the game forcing the Swarm to play catch up the rest of the way. The scoring load was balanced out for the Sevens as Shane Edwards scored 18, Roscoe Smith 12, Terrence Jennings 11, and Devondrick Walker 11.
The 87ers answered every run the Swarm threw at them and improved their record to 26-22 overall. They must win out and get some help to make the playoffs, but a tough test awaits them Friday night as the Raptors 905 visit the Bob Carpenter Center.
