The NBA Panel covered the defending NCAA D1 champion Villanova Wildcats as they took on the Furman Paladins at the Finnergan Pavilion November 17th in Villanova PA. The Wildcats got off to a slow start to begin the game, got into a back and forth battle with Furman. Villanova was led by its tenacious defense that allowed them to produce a 36-31 halftime lead. Collin Gillespie led the Wildcats in scoring at half with 10 PTS. The Furman Paladins scoring leader at half was Matt Rafferty with 9.
The 2nd half of the game was a close battle with current lead changes. Both teams battled down to the wire and finished regulation tied at 60 apiece. Furman pulled away in OT to win the game 76-68. With the loss Villanova drops to 2-2 on the season. Furman improves to 5-0
