The NBA Panel covered the defending NCAA D1 champion Villanova Wildcats as they took on ST. Johns Red Storm January 8th at Finneran Pavillion in Villanova PA. Villanova (12-4) withstood furious St. John’s (14-2) runs to pull out a thiller at home 76-71. St. John’s came out strong but eventually couldn’t hang on as the Wildcats made a late push led by 25 PTS from Eric Paschall. The Red Storm was led in scoring by Shamorie Ponds who put up 23 PTS. Villanova keeps fighting and showing why it’s the defending champion.
